Privacy Policy

Last updated October 06, 2026

Hi there! I'm Orrin Jones, the developer behind Veridia: The Great Scramble. I wrote this policy to clearly explain what data is collected when you play, how it's used, and how your privacy is protected.I prefer to keep things simple: I don't know who you are, I don't ask for your personal information, and I do not sell your data.

1. You Play Anonymously
You don't need to create an account, give me an email address, or provide a real name to play. Everyone is signed in completely anonymously. If you want to save your progress across devices, you can optionally sign in with Google Play Games (Android) or Sign in with Apple (iOS). This links your anonymous game account to your gaming account. The game does not request or store your email address or any other personal details — only the public player name from your gaming account.

2. What I Collect (And Why)
To make Veridia the best game it can be, I use Firebase Analytics and Unity Analytics to track in-app actions — like which buttons you press, which levels you beat, or where you might get stuck. This also includes basic device information such as device model and OS version. This data is used strictly to fix bugs, balance gameplay, and improve the app. I do not share gameplay analytics with third parties beyond the service providers described below.

3. Service Providers
Firebase (Google) and Unity process the analytics data described above on my behalf in order to provide their services. They handle this data under their own privacy policies:
Google Privacy & Terms
Unity Privacy Policy

4. Ads (AdMob & Unity LevelPlay)
To support the game's development, I may show ads using Google AdMob and Unity LevelPlay. These ad networks may automatically collect standard device information, including your device's advertising ID, IP address, estimated (coarse) location, device model/OS, and how you interact with ads. They use this to serve ads relevant to your region and to measure ad performance. Both AdMob and Unity LevelPlay may share this advertising data with their own approved advertising partners and ad networks in order to fill ad slots in the game. You can read more in Google's Privacy & Terms and the Unity Privacy Policy.

5. Ad Measurement (Meta)
I use Meta's SDK to measure which ads lead to game installs. Meta may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data for this purpose, handled under the Meta Privacy Policy.

6. Children's Privacy
I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because play is anonymous and there is no way to share personal information with me in the game, no personal data is stored or collected from any player. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact me and I will delete it.

7. Your Rights
I do not sell your personal information. Your anonymous account does hold gameplay data — things like coins, level progress, and stats — but no personally identifiable information. If you'd like me to delete your gameplay data, or if you have any privacy questions at all, please email me and provide your user id found settings or on the splash screen.

8. Data Retention & Security
Analytics and ad data are kept only as long as needed for the purposes described above. I use reasonable safeguards to protect the data handled.

9. Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy as I add new features. If I make significant changes, I'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top.
